Description "It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart

And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend"

---

This is an experimental piece that I started on in early July of last year (Wow, July!) and have been dabbling with on and off until today. It's an expressive poster for my Blindside because I wanted to draw something epic that wasn't just a comic page.

Nyxis and Eflasia have a strong friendship. They're "soul sisters" if you will; it's a strong bond that you could come across maybe once or twice in a lifetime. One would sacrifice her life for the other in a heartbeat. But what happens when you give the worth of a life to save someone, and it's not enough?

This question will make more sense as I finish Nyxis's childhood arc and progress into the darker futures of both characters. Let's wish them both great luck.

---

I listened to many songs while drawing this. "Fruit Wheel-Ru Bonds" from the Mawaru Penguindrum anime probably had the most impact.

Are they supposed to be secret lovers?

No, the relationship is platonic.

Platonic
adjective
1.
of, relating to, or characteristic of Plato or his doctrines:
the Platonic philosophy of ideal forms.
2.
pertaining to, involving, or characterized by Platonic love as a striving toward love of spiritual or ideal beauty.
3.
(usually lowercase) purely spiritual; free from sensual desire, especially in a relationship between two persons of the opposite sex.
4.
(usually lowercase) feeling or professing platonic love:
He insisted that he was completely platonic in his admiration.

Me: I'm a little confused as to what you mean by Platonic. This looks just the opposite of Platonic according to definition number 3. But than again don't let me tell you what this picture represents, you are the one that drew it. LOL
