The idea of trying to rework all of worm into a YA friendly format seems completely insane, not to mention would defeat the point of the entire story. Is there really no publisher that wants to work with what's already there?

Webserials don't fit into traditional publishing formats that are limited by things like physical book binding and physical shelf space.Β Published series are broken into individual books written in a three-act structure with a defined beginning, middle, and end. Worm is written around its art and it would take a lot of restructuring to be able to separate them into individual books.
Considering what's there is a technically a first draft, I can see why it hasn't been published formally yet.
