When I was 12, my parents took me to Williamsburg, VA. This is a view from the top of the stairs at the Governor's Palace, overlooking the canal.

My memory of the trip is a bit fuzzy since I was young and didn't take that many photos, but I do remember trying to catch ghosts on camera because I thought the town was haunted. I also remember checking my old Deviantart account from the hotel's computer room. Smartphones and other portable devices are great, but admittedly I sometimes miss the days when we could get away from the internet for a bit. We're always connected.

More practice in SAI2! Done last week or so.
The deep blue was supposed to be part of the underpainting, but I came to like it so much that I kept it in. It's like a Ghibli blue. The goal is to stylize my scenery paintings. I'm not interested in a hyper-realistic look. If anyone could recommend me some of their favorite scenery artists, it would help a lot! I'm actively looking to improve my background painting skills and want to try out some new things!
