Used this lovely picture on a manip of mine. [link]
She's absolutely one of the most beautiful wolves I've seen.

Sorry I'm commenting so late...I've been gone for a very long time. Just wanted to say that you did an excellent job on this! It looks so professional. I love the background you chose and the warm color tones are incredible! I also like the way you cropped the image...it gives awesome focus on the wolf. Bravo!

Yes, Yazhi is very beautiful, is becoming rather famous and has quite a following. That's her name by the way and she, of course is a female. Not sure what you'd like to know about her. Let's see. She came to the Oregon Zoo somewhere around Dec. of 2008 or Jan. of 2009. I first heard that she was there from my friend Reixed and went as soon as I could. We hadn't had any wolves for a while since we lost the previous three to old age and medical problems. She came in with another female, an 8 year old named Cheyenne when she was about 8 months old...just a pup really. They got along pretty well. Yazhi was always submissive to Cheyenne and it became obvious rather quickly that Yazhi was going to be a star...a real 'ham' and would constantly pose for our cameras. A short while ago, they got in a black male, also just a pup really, named Kenai. When Kenai came into the picture, the relationship between Yazhi and Cheyenne changed dramatically! First thing that happened was that Yazhi sort of laid claim to Kenai and asserted her dominance over Cheyenne by laying into her pretty badly. She hurt Cheyenne pretty seriously. The two had to be separated ever since and it took a long time for Cheyenne to heal. I believe she still doesn't walk the same and you can still see the worst gash in her rear leg where Yazhi tore her up pretty good. I'm guessing that eventually, Cheyenne will be moved to a new home where she can get along with her packmates and not be in jeopardy and there will only be Yazhi and Kenai. Still, anytime Kenai gets anywhere near Cheyenne on her side of the fence, Yazhi is right there reminding Cheyenne that she's not allowed near Kenai.

Just ask if you would like to know anymore...not sure what else to tell you at this point.

ooh, Cheyenne's ok right? I hope that she does get better and not get beat like that anymore! Does Kenai feel the same about Yahzi?

Thank you so much! It does seem that she is intentionally posing and I'd like to think it's just for me...but I know I was just at the right place at the right time. She is very stunning...her symmetry is incredible and she looks so intelligent and curious. Glad you like her.

Thank you, but I feel the need to point out that as the title implies, she was already and still is beautiful...I just captured it accurately.

thank you for pointing that out, sometimes the most amazing photo happens because of the animal you are capturing, who is beautiful and not because of a skill (which to capture her as she is is amazing in itself)..

I to your wisdom. You're right...I didn't make her beautiful so to take a beautiful shot of her is easy to do, but you're right again...it takes some skill to get it captured correctly and let the viewer feel the same awe of that beauty. So, I guess I am a bit talented at that. Thank you very much.

I can be exceptionally wisdomly when the mood strikes What I enjoy so much about your photos and what is important to me is to try and let the photo tell a story and to show people in pictures the beauty that is around them, we are too often blind to this ... you've managed to do both
