I am guessing that you drew this frame by frame. If this is the case how many frames did you use? Whenever I try to make smooth animations, I feel like I use too many frames and things start to look laggy. anywho, well done.

This animation only got 8 frames in it, i suffered from your issue for a long time, when you animate its logical thinking that makes you draw those extra frames that makes everything laggy
after all if the hand is at point A and then it needs to get to point B, then you need to draw how it got there right? well not really, its animation not real life and its not a 60 fps video, its an illusion, like a magic trick too fast for the eyes to pick up, so when you animate fast movements dont be afraid to move a part half way across the screen in 3 frames, that's how timing and spacing works and it will look great, after all if a ball were to fly super fast in front of you now, your eyes wouldnt lock on it and follow it perfectly right? your eyes will keep jumping ahead trying to keep up with it since its moving so fast.
and in my opinion a badly drawn animation with good timing/spacing looks way better than a well drawn animation with bad timing/spacing, its just a matter of practice like any aquired skill so dont stress over it
Hopes this helps! and thank you for the kind words ^^
