I was having a bad day, just one of those days when everything's going wrong, you know? So, i went on here and looked in my favorites folder to cheer myself up and what do i see but this, and i fell in love with it all over again. There's nothing i don't love about this. Its beautiful, and the story behind it both breaks and makes my heart happy at the same time. Just to let you know, you made someone who was having a complety shitty day (Well night now) feel a whole lot better, thank you.

So I just have so many questions about what was going through your head when you created this masterpiece. like, why is Castiel's halo a triangle? Why did you decide to give Dean wings? What is the context of this scene? Why did theykiss? Why is it bittersweet and why doesn't Cas hold Dean like Dean is holding him? Is/ or how is the rain significant in this beautiful visual story you crafted? I jusT UHH THIS IS SO PERFECT I NEED TO KNOWΒ

I made this drawing right after the S6 finale (I think), when Castiel briefly turned into a God. The triangle is a common representation of God in art, so I thought it was an adequate way to show that Castiel had upgraded to Godstiel. If you recall the end of S6, the Winchesters didn't trust Castiel nor seemed to care very much about him anymore, which hurt/disappointed/upseted him. My headcanon here was that Castiel, craving Dean's love and approval, turned him into an angel to have him on his side again. Angels love God, but it's more an entire aspect of what they are than a conscious decision. Once an angel, Dean lost his mistrust and started loving Castiel unconditionally, wanting to fulfill all his desires. And Castiel's deepest desire is Dean loving him back. Here, Dean is holding him and on the edge of kissing him because Castiel wants him to, that's what Castiel craves. But Castiel isn't moving, neither holding him close nor pushing him away, because he's torn between his selfish desire of having Dean, and knowing that Dean isn't acting on his own free will anymore - so it's not really him.
So that's the context of the drawing : ) There's no explanation for the rain (or lack of clothes) other than I love drama and I thought it carried the atmosphere better.
