This is an Original Character of mine called Mirage the Hedgecat, whom I've used in a number of my fanfics, specifically a series called A Rose and a Thorn.

I was pretty new to Pixel Art when I did this, but that is a good picture of how I, Harley Quinn hyenaholic, writer of ARAAT, personally envisioned her. Don't take it as smug or anything but some fan-art of her has been showing up and I'd like to be asked first.

Abilities: Cat-like senses of hearing, smell, reflexes and speed. Retractable claws. Unaffected by ANY attack fuelled by the Chaos Emeralds.

Powers: Chaos Drain. Chaos Tempest. Immortality.

Equipment: Prototype Jet-Shoes. Master Emerald Shard. Three Power Rings bound around tail.

Background: When Professor Gerald realised that Project: Shadow would inevitably be used as a weapon by somebody, before Project Shadow was even completed he began work on Project: Mirage. Disguised as an experiment in harnessing Master Emerald energy or as a replacement for Project: Shadow, she was in fact created with the ability to subdue and even kill Shadow the Hedgehog if necessary.

Although created from Shadow the Hedgehog's DNA, it proved impossible to salvage the Y chromosone, so Professor Robotnik made her female.

She always wears the Master Emerald shard (a really small shard) as it fuels her main abilities, the Chaos Tempest and the Chaos Drain. Chaos Tempest fromoves objects from existance for a brief period, and can be used to remove organs and body parts from people. Chaos Drain literally drains Chaos Energy.

When she was awoken she soon fell in with an earlier experiment in cloning called Project: Midnight, a cloned Echidna. They formed a sexual relationship which was frowned on, up until Mirage somehow became pregnant and gave birth to an egg. An echidna egg.

During the battle for the ARK, Mirage was injured and placed in stasis. She was awoken over 50 years earlier entirely by accident... by Espio the Chameleon.

Mental Stability: Paranoid Schitzoid, Obsessive-Compulsive
-> Reasons: Mirage has one goal in life, and that goal is to stop Shadow from destroying the world. If she must kill him to do so, so be it.
Mirage has extreme difficulty working in a team, but like Shadow, secretly fears that her immortality will result in her ultimately ending her life alone. She's always on the lookout for traitors.
