My lateness knows no bounds. But this year I was lame and actually ASKED what she and Rei wanted for their birthdays... Klisscat may just be the best idea you've had kliss >3 She's a high-content savannah mix, hence the serval anatomy.

Ooh, this one really caught my eye in my inbox... I really like the way you shaded with multiple colours - the warm tones in contrast to the green/blue reflected light looks really "right", if you know what I mean? Plus, this character is really adorable

Thank you! I just love picking out colors to shade with, it's a lot of fun to paint with a bunch of shades rather than just one.

You're welcome! C: I do too, but I think I need more practice since I still find it difficult to pick colours that work well with the tone and the character's colouring. You pull it off really well, and I agree with you - using lots of variation in the colours and shades is always tons of fun!

Being familiar with the colorwheel can be really helpful for choosing colors. In this case I just kind of cheated and used a shade really similar to the characters eyes, but often I'll use the hue slider on Sai or PS to look at different possibilities as well.
