Pencil on paperI'm making a sculpture and this may be something similar to her face (when she will have one).
I was reading The War of the Flowers, by Tad Williams, one month ago or so, and I was inspired by that book in many ways... the statue and this pic come out of there, even if they're not precise portraits of a specific character. It's just... "the feeling".

I love that book it was the first Tad Williams book I ever read. I love her half smile its like she is watching something interesting or slightly wierd and humorous.

The whole thing is amazing and I cant wait to see this sculpture of yours (you simply MUST post a picture). Still, as others have said there is something about the eyes that strike me the most. They feel like they're pulling me in ... very dark and deep, and yet beautiful in a way.

The relective dark eyes are unnerving. The first thing that came to my mind was that this was a close-up of the character in "The Phoenix Tree."
