Description
Folded from thirty 5x5cm squares of green foil-backed paper.Diagrams: [link]
The original photo sucked, so I decided to pretty it up in Photoshop. It was a nice test of my design skills too, lol. XD
But yeah... since it was folded from foil paper and all, it kept reflecting the sunlight so I couldn't take a good photo of it in a too brightly-lit area. >__<; Also, this modular required glue, but the foil surface wouldn't take normal glue. I had resorted to using STICKY TAPE (aaargh) on the inside, which kinda worked but still looked quite wonky on the outside. Until my mum suggested superglue. Which worked. But the poor modules had already been stuck, unstuck and restuck so many times... and in the end I don't think it turned out that great. But I was so happy just to have finished it, lol. XD
This was a Christmas present for my sister. Which, in a most organised fashion, I only started and finished folding on Christmas Eve.

It is a pretty ball. And the presentation is superb.
It is a pity the use of glue.
Btw, working with coloured foil paper is not a good idea the most of the times. The creases don't look pretty and there is some problems. I always use tissue paper glued to the foil to get the colour I want.

Yeah... I didn't realise it needed glue until I had folded the modules D: Unless there was some sneaky Portuguese method of joining them together without glue that I was not able to understand.
The thing is, I had never seen green foil paper before and so I thought it was awesome and wanted to buy it, lol. XD Shiiiiiiny

ok.........I folded 2 units, then I realise "wtf, how the f do you lock the units up together by themselves!?"
and then I read your comments again and realise that it's a module building type that I hate, ie. requiring external force for it to work......

It looks great! I love the digital addition too. And i just had that same problem with the holographic paper not taking glue >_<. Ended up giving up on that one since even super glue and tape didn't work.

Ouch D: I did notice that even with the superglue I had to hold the pieces really still for several seconds to let the glue set before it would stick D: Even superglue is no match for shiny paper =/
