Oh wow, that is real bad.. I'm so sorry. Seems like something you wold only hear of in the movies and not in real life, I could never imagine loosing a sibling and on Christmas at that.

No I never wrote this, I credited the writer in the comments and on the deviation.
I just took the photo and did the editing.
I was just saying that I wish I could still write like this, it's been so long since I wrote anything and it's poems like this poets poem that I get inspiration from and it almost makes me want to go back to writing.

Actually two of them, one graduated a star quarterback, kick ass skateboarder and is now going to college and the other has his own Christian rock band that is very popular.
But the one that has his own band is a step brother and I don't know him to well yet.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of you're brother. I can't imagine how difficult that must be for you. 
Mine sometimes get under my skin with their perfectness.. but I'd never want to loose either of them, even the one that I hardly know.
Oh yes I do have another brother, I forgot about that one.. he's actually more of a screw up then me.. My parents are hoes. lol

Eh.. I'm good and settled now, I have something none of them have, children, my own house and life is good.
I don't need any of that other stuff.. they can have it, that is for young ones.

Yeah probably and I agree... being settled down and finally getting on a comfortable track where you have everything in order and things are not wild and chaotic all the time.. it's nice and I would not trade it for youth either.. I'm done making mistakes, well as long as I can help it.

It certainly is a great poem, and it reminds me of my mother who is in the local nursing center and may never get to come back home to live with me ever again. I am also a friend of the dear lady here at DA who has lost her daughter under conditions that it seems are unspeakable. I gently nudged her about details but she can't tell us much yet. I'm not even sure I want to know 
Any loss of a child is unspeakably horrible. It's even worse than losing an elderly parent since that parent, however dear, has lived his or her life and is near the end, while losing a child is so terribly unfair, it cuts short a life that might only span a few years or a couple of decades.

Yes it is such a horrible thing, I can't even begin to imagine and I would never want to have to go through that ever. I have two children who are very young and the thought is just unbearable, so many people have lost children before them... I feel for each and every one of them.
I wish there was something to say or do that could make that hurt go away, but it's always going to be there.
I'm so very sorry about you're mother, that can't be easy for you either.

She is a dear friend to me on DA and is going through an unbearable moment in life with the loss of a daughter recently.

Yeah, that is something that I never want to go through ever, I've known so many mothers that have lost their children and I feel for them.
My aunt lost her boy at 10 years old, my other aunt lost a daughter at 22 and now this friend of mine on here.
It's not right, you're never suppose to loose a child before you.. if there is one thing that hurts the most, that would be it.

Exactly...it's not fair that that happens as much as it does...My niece died when she was 3 months old...It did effect me, but I know it effected my brother more since it was his daughter and first born (which is why I say I can't imagine how that feels earlier).

I would not even want to imagine, that is such a horrible thing and no matter the age, but my heart falls apart for her and for all who have had to feel that awful pain.
