I love the treatment of this picture, the purity it blows out.
It's a perfect image for cards, calendars, and prints in general because it covers a large audience.
The technique is very well done; good focus, proper depth of field, right subject placement...
The mood got overall combines with the atmosphere and the purpose of this photo.
The only thing I'd suggest is to add it a more original view.
If you're a lover of cats and cute pictures, you'll love this one; if you're in the oposite side, it won't catch the eye enough for them to appreciate the details.
These images have been done a lot of times before, so it's difficult, in this position, to step away from the common points of view, but if you do that, you might get an original and attractive work.
So basically, when talking about the photo, overall, I'd say you got what you wanted. I can't critique the technique, I like it, very well done.
