I like the use of red against the black and white! It works really well.
I think the biggest thing that stands out to me is the fact how the face was arranged. For the most part, the face is arranged in a realistic way. The eye has too much of a diagonal tilt, I think.
Another issue with the face is that the nose is much smaller than what it would normally be. So I think if you made it a little bigger then the face would look a LOT better. (Minor details do mean a lot!)
I think you have a really good grasp on shading - I like the way that the horns cast shadow on his hair. But there is a problem with the horns - I'm not sure if the character has horns that are a bit off center from his face, but they don't line up properly here. His face is tilting to our left, but his horns look like they would if he was just looking straight without a tilt.
Otherwise, I think that this is a good piece!
