18x24" 45x60cm acrylic on hardboardA very familiar scene painted in a very familiar manner. There are some rather funky paintings under this one, but they were also bad. In the end I decided to go very minimal and conservative -- a wide-open summer scene. I always wonder if I should include a person or two in the painting. On one hand, viewers may see themselves as the person in the painting, drawing them in. On the other hand, perhaps if in your imagination you're out for a solitary walk along a sandy road, other figures might be seen as an intrusion. No figures this time.

Excellent wide open space feel...good lead with the well painted road.... I feel water in the far background... or maybe not.... excellent work....

Thanks. I was a little too casual with the horizon, it was supposed to be water, but... as you say, maybe not. Could've been distant mountains, so I straightened it out a bit and just uploaded the very slightly revised version.
