A nice full body shot of my tentaspy costume. If you want more details on making of it go here: [link]I worked like a dog for 3 weeks before Otakon and got this baby done. SO HAPPY. 320 suckers, 8 huge tentacles, almost 100 yards of tulle for stuffing, and airbrushed made-from-scratch webbed gloves and custom made vest. Also Scarecrow fangs and face makeup to complete the monstery-blue-pale look.

Hey there I totally fell in love with this cosplay the first time I saw it.
I've been wanting to cosplay for a while now and last October I did for the first time. I'm currently working on two more cosplays and already have a little list of cosplays I want to do in the future. A Tentaspy is definetly on there, but it will probably be a while until I feel confident enough to start on it. I checked out the link you attached and I'm really impressed with your work. If I finally do make my own cos based on yours I'll be sure to credit you for being the one who both handed me the necessary information and design and inspired me to even do that.
Thanks a lot already for being awesome and making me believe that I can cosplay that. <3

Late reply is late - but yea they are just high density foam! I cut them on a band saw and with scissors.

I mostly trip on the upturned ends of my 'shoes' (the tentacles on my actual legs) not the tentacles, if anything

Oh how rude! I should say something about the costume. It is Epic! the tentacles are kinda cute looking, I think they should be scarier, but it's a hella of a lot better then I could dream of.

im makign a tentaspy cosplay as well, in regards to fabric what type did you use for the tentacles and webbed fingers? also for the suckers did u sew these by hand on, made outa the same fabric as the belly of the tentacles? ive got something in mind but im quite curious

The suckers were hot melt glued on, it was the fastest option, also hot melt sticks just great to porous fabric so it is strong too, you just gotta hold on the suckers for 10 seconds real tight so it bonds well. They are made with 1/2" high density foam, like the green stuff at Joanns, but white. I got it in NYC cause we don't sell HDF in white. Hope that helps :'3
