Thank you
And I'm also glad that you took the time to read through the description box (I thought nobody ever reads this ) and thank you .. I wondered whether I'm the only one who couldn't manage to make this salt thing like in the tuts on youtube, but if you say that this needs a while, then I'm relieved I thing I just have to try different paper and maybe also colors (I'n using White Nights at the time)
Yes, first I just drew them, but then I found some from nail art and decided to glue them on the pic Hehe thank you

What do you mean by "spectrum noir"? Sorry, somehow I didn't understand it.
Well.. what kind of paper did you use? With copics it's just the same, much depends on paper.

No worrys, it was my lack of explanation. Spectrum noirs are a brand of artist markers, a cheaper alternative to copics pretty much. You can get a pack of six colors for about 14$ or so USD, they are alcohol based, and they have smaller non flexible nibs. Much like promarker nibs if you've heard of them.
Spectrums Just have better color laydown then pro markers generally.
normaly I'll use plain old card stock, it takes the color nicer. I always use another sheet of paper underneath my drawing though, it helps with the bleeding.

I've heard of those, though I've not used my Pitt pens in some time.
and If you are not sure about which markers to get, try watching some youtube videos on them!
Videos aren't always helpful I know, but you may get a general idea of which you would prefer. I use a mix of both, depending on what I want to work on.
I think I have a pad of paper that's designed for markers, but I wasn't fond of it, I know it wasn't Canson though.
and i do have a mixed media pad that is like on hand, so I think I'll try that out, see how it goes for me. that and some Bristol paper I haven't played with that much, both from Strathmore.
I will certainly check That brand out, it seems worth looking into at the very least!
I can't deny that >< but it works for now, not the greatest, but certainly much better then normal sketch book paper.

I don't blame you one bit! XD they are a pricy investment after all.
agreed, I've watched a lot of coloring vids, and some of them make even a novice like me cringe and those that are proficient at coloring are pretty rare. Hahahah! Exactly, best you can do is watch how they do it, and simply try it out yourself.
I definitely will, just need to find one! I was so sure my local stores carried marker pads, but now they're mostly mixed media and sketch books.
lots came from years of only asking for books and drawing supplies for birthdays and holidays! XD use them all I have, and hopefully will continue to do so! And I'll try lol! Just gotta get back into some old things I think.
hm, sounds kinda familiar, is it a brand of the colored ink pots for calligraphy pens? I remember seeing that name somewhere, maybe watercolor but it's been awhile.
For my watercolor I used mainly koi, which are pretty nice, most of the colors have beautiful pigments. I've never tried white night though!

hahaha indeed they are xD
Yupp..^^ That's exactly how I felt, too..)) I mean drawing can be learnt Sometimes famous and extraordinary & super gorgeous artist post their beginnings and there you can see that they started as everyone else, that is to say with zero.. and beginners can post vids too of course, but they maybe shouldn't call that "tutorials".. (I'm not a meanie here! Really, I'm just fair and honest) .. but well.. yeah
Yeah, that's the best way I think. And observe in nature forms, shadows, angles etc..
And it might be helpful have other artist to check on own works too But the person has to be fair, honest + objective .. and find that kind of person with all that combinations xd .__.
I'll check out your gallery after I finish the comment hehe .. hope to find some new stuff hehe ))
Yeah, same here. For my last birthday I got the white nights And now I want a wacom intous pro s for my bday
Nope, not exactly.. at least in germany we habe two different main types of ink, I'm not sure how to explain: "india" ink and ink.. (leo.org, in ger. Tinte or Tusche)
that for example is ink (Tinte)
www.sennelier.fr/Les-Couleurs/…
and this is "indian" ink (Tusche)- you can use those like watercolors
www.kunstpark-shop.de/Kuenstle…
I never heard of "koi" .. I'll have to aks google... xD

You are not being mean at all, simply stating the truth. it can be a video showing how they go about it sure, but sometimes they take it a bit far, and give advice that they claim is extreamly important, when in fact it is not at all, and can lead to odd looking things XD
its good to look around and see what looks right to you, and what looks wrong, and how light affects things and the like, I'm just starting to really pay attention to such things
true true, some times they have the knowldge to help in a constructive way, but more often then not, they do not know how to give that advice, or even if that advice is wanted.
I personly am not good at giving constructive advice on drawings on DA, because I don't know if its wanted, or how to go about it as I am still learning myself! that and something I deem wrong, may be a solid point in their style. Then there are the people who just say,
"this sucks"
and thank you! I just was able to reply to all the lovely comments. I really appreciate it by the way
Haha! This last B-day of mine I got a intuos creative pen and touch tablet s, www.wacom.com/en/us/creative/i…
and I enjoy it but I am not very good at it yet! XD the best I can do are sketches, as I'm very bad at line art right now.
ok, I think I know what you mean, we have things like that as well, though I am not very knowledgable about them, its a medium I never played with too much.
'koi' is the brand Sakura's water color line. its a student grade watercolor, but it had some really nice colors. :3
