500mm lens, pretty large amount of cropping....and a little bit-o-editingFirst time the moon has been bright enough I could get it with my slow lens (f/8) handheld---because my tripod doesnt tilt high enough....

Yes. I used my nifty 500mm lens, and even then had to considerably crop it.

thank you....had to use my biggest lens and still crop a lot....thats a few pixels short of the full size image.
