Oh, Colin Baker....you certainly were dealt the worst hand out of all the Doctors. It sucks too, because Colin was an amazing actor. It just that the producers of the show and the BBC at the time were....for lack of a better term, a pack of douchenozzles.

Sadly, people like to blame the guy they can see, who was the guy who wasn't the problem. Fortunately he gets a better deal in the books and audio dramas.

Oh, yeah. No doubt there. He's like Paul McGann in that way; his televised appearances didn't do much to REALLY show off his talent, but the audios really let him shine. ^^

Colin Baker had potential, he was pretty good from what I've seen. The problem was, the production team and the BBC simply had well, diffuculties.

Which is too bad because with the right scripts, he would've been pretty good as the Sixth Doctor and wouldn't be hated.
My favorite moment of his is his speech in The Ultimate Foe.
"In all my travelling throughout the universe, I have battled against evil, against power-mad conspirators. I should have stayed here. The oldest civilisation: decadent, degenerate, and rotten to the core. Power-mad conspirators, Daleks, Sontarans, Cybermen - they're still in the nursery compared to us. Ten million years of absolute power. That's what it takes to be really corrupt."
His performance sells the entire speech.

I'm good friends with Colin and I told him he did his job perfectly. He's still amazing as the Doctor today with the Big Finish Audio adventures. My favourite one is Legend of the Cybermen.

Yes. met him i was 11 during the 40th anniversary and met him on several other occasions. Now he knows im a regular in most of the cons he goes to and we have great conversations about his run on the show. I liked that he said to me "I'm the Doctor, i remember everybody" whiched he used in a later audio adventure X)
