Categories have become quite difficult to deal with @_@ Mostly because they change all the time.
Cough. Anyway, to the point.
I don't think it's too intricate. It's just right I think-it has pretty details and the main point is still clear. I think the design i s beautiful, especially the tree 
The left wing looks a bit too bent though. It's just a matter of a line or two, not much.
Still, beautiful work!
