The song Allu Mari by Unto Ashes is such an inspiring song. I've wanted to do a piece like this, but never really got the motivation. That is, until I saw !mullybinks contest ([link] )I am really, really, really amazed at how this came out. I'm so proud. Makes me happy times a thousand.

Gorgeous as always, like I mentioned to you before, think about doing those comics like Neil Gaiman (not Diamond !) there could be a totally cool background story to this. Or something...

Actually, there is a background story to this. The name of the title "Allu Mari" comes from a song by Unto Ashes. Its about how when women were persecuted for being witches, and some of them would go to the ocean and drown themselves instead of burning at the stake. 
I would love to be able to write like Neil Gaiman. However, most of the art from his comics is done by a guy by the name of Dave McKean, my favorite artist. Brilliant things.
