Description Nothing like drawing armor to teach you that you still have a lot to learn.

I was inspired by the templars in Dragon age and Mako in Legend of Korra.

Over all I like this one. Armors are hard .__. The only critique I would have, is that the metal looks too glassy for me. The lighting is too clear cut. Except you want to go for a new metal look. But the overall coloring would suggest an older 'used' look, so it throws me a bit off. Other than that, I like the pose, the thoughtful look in his eyes, his hands (handssss) and he looks cute. -ahem-

That's a good point, really. After I posted this one, I went ahead and looked at other armous that other artists have done, and the impression I got was that there was a lot more greyer tones used.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Haven't play in Dragon Age and haven't watch Legend of Korra, but he somehow reminded me of Casavir (just young) from Neverwinter nights-2
I like his face, especially the eyes - they are beautiful.
And armour looks absolutely fine to me, it keeps the freedom of movements so must be rather comfortable

This looks fantastic! I especially love the expression on his face, and his hands. I cannot for the life of me draw hands, and am in awe of anybody who, like you, can manage to make it look good. I applaud!

The hands were the only part I liked, because they weren't made of metal. Thank you so much. I'm so glad you liked it!

I went back and forth a few times between this and the original Crowley WIP on Tumblr, and while I do miss Crowley, this looks great. I know nothing about Templars and Dragon Age, but I can definitely see the Mako influence. And what a lovely mix it is. I really like the glow reflecting on his face. And shush, the armour looks great.

Thank you. I loved drawing Crowley, but there was something about his face that really made me want to work more on it. You're an artist. You know that itch. I will just have to make up for it by drawing Crowley again later.

I really appreciate your compliments, by the way. Thank you, bb.

I think my heart would explode from the Awesome if I ever found dragon age/LOK fanart. ...Other than mine.

I want to draw Mako in the near future, I just need to figure out a theme for him. But yeah, he was a great inspiration. Thank you!
