This glass is nasty. What was that, a f:2.8 800mm? I guess you helped a bit to the DoF but even so, this is ... wow! (But I don't forget that any lenses are just overpriced glassware in the wrong hands. One have to use'em with such experience as you do.)

This is actually a 500mm f/4, with a 1.4x extender on a crop sensor, and then I cropped it a bit. x') do 800mm f/2.8 lenses even exist? I've only seen f/5.6 ones and thanks for the compliment, I do try my best with these lenses ^^

I don't think that 800 f/2.8 exists... Sigma has a 200-500mm f/2.8 APO, that weights about 16 kg and has separate battery for focusing and LCD to give you an idea about zoom and focus distance... That is huge and costs some €10,000 or so... I just can imagine a 800 f/2.8... My note was not really about the magnification but the clear view and DoF, those are magnificent (as usual, on you images)! You're really good at this. I just struggle now with my "new" lens, a Nikkor Mirror 500 f/8 (it was made in the year when I got my very first camera, namely in 1970) but hardly can achieve any sharp and clean images. Either sharp, or clean
