The atmosphere in this piece is amazing. It is dense and kind of foreboding. Like those riders are not up to anything good. And I feel as if the tree almost reflects their intentions and feelings. Maybe their character.
And it is quite interesting, how the slight hint of warm sunlight in the background is contrasting with that, making for a nice effect.
