Description I was given permission to reference from a photograph called Beautiful Macaw [link] , the photograph was taken by

thank you so much for letting me draw this wonderfully beautiful photo.

I used prisma colour pencil crayons on my usual paper it fits into an 8x10 matte for framing. Done in about 10-15 hours he is for sale at $225.00 with frame.

haha really I'm happy with everything except his lower body which i had to make up cause the photo was missing that part

Yeah Lindsey I think you did a great job showing the texture of the feathers with those demon coloured pencils. I know, theyre good pencils, but I wish the tip didnt break every 10 seconds for me. I bet you spent at least 5 hours sharpening those pencils over and over again. So all in all it only took you 5-10 hours to draw

I know exactly what you mean I have a whole drawer full of pencil crayons I refuse to use because they break. next time you buy pencil crayon make sure you do not drop any and are very careful when you use them to not jar them or bang them and you should have fine pencil crayons I bought the 120 set of prisma colour pencil crayons and have only dropped a few but I payed 150 bucks for them so I am really careful with them.

thank you the only thing I don't like is his lower body it looks weird I had to stretch it a little because it wasn't in the photo because I wanted his whole beak in the picture
