In French, they are called tournesols, Linda - sunflowers - means turning to the Sun. They have no scent, but the idea of the image nevertheless is valid. One might interpret it as the woman who has the scent, and turns to the Sun to allow the scent to waft out. The ladybirds are a nice touch, as are the painted nails. Those yellow green eyes are a trademark feature of your work.
Lovely - I wouldn't mind meeting her in a field of tournesol!

Yes they don't really have a smell,..yet they do...they always smell to me like...summer...The feelings they stir,.. like that of the first warm air. (please tell me you can smell the heat in the air too? 
I was wondering if anyone would mention the color of her eyes and nobody has before you....One might think such eyes don't exist - and they are rare I am sure, but I was in a bargain store one Summer a few years back and the owner, he looked like he might have been from the middle east or so,..I had to do a double take because his eyes were much the color of hers! And they stood out even more because he had a darkish complextion. Very unusual to see!

Another complex set of issues here, Linda. Yes, the sunflowers themselves have no scent, but you are correct that there is an associated summer odour whenever you wander through a field of these tournesols, as I have encountered in France. Warm earth, a dusty air, chirps from cicadas, and the soft pressure of abundant sunlight hitting the cheek certainly conjures up the "scent of summer" - always aided by a couple of glasses of vin rouge and an ample slice of brie on a baguette. I've noticed that a pretty girl around also helps!!
Very occasionally I have come across someone with eyes such as this colour, but very rare.
