OK, thanks! I have a scanner! So I can actually just draw the image in pencil then scan it and continue like in your tutorial?

sorry for the late reply, to find the color you just have to make a double click on the color square of your tools menu, then the color palette will pop-up and there you can enter numbers in the bottom field (like this [link] instead of 96c3da)

your tutorial is great~!
there's just one thing I can't understand.. it's the part with the line art..
When I trace the lines with the pen, the skin color fills up the space..
and in the path it says "skin vector mask"..
I don't know where the work path is and I can't click the circle below
Sorry for the trouble.. Hope I can have your answer! thanks!^^

Lina01 In reply to MizuiroChi [2008-01-30 14:02:45 +0000 UTC]
aaah! it's because it's on a different layers, the background layers are under the character layers ^_^!

MizuiroChi In reply to Lina01 [2008-01-30 15:45:19 +0000 UTC]

Lina01 In reply to MizuiroChi [2008-01-30 15:59:43 +0000 UTC]
that's strange, are you sure you were not working on the same layer?
π: 0 β©: 1
MizuiroChi In reply to Lina01 [2008-01-30 16:03:30 +0000 UTC]
nope, well i use cs2, i take another layer and color on, it kinda looks transparently, i take color pink on the diff layer and the character looks "invisible" or transparent sorta

is it only photoshop 7.0 that is used for this is there any other program?
π: 0 β©: 1
Lina01 In reply to NarutoxHinatafan [2008-01-10 07:44:56 +0000 UTC]
it's based on a paper sketch, and everything else has been done with photoshop ^^
π: 0 β©: 1
NarutoxHinatafan In reply to Lina01 [2008-01-24 02:45:14 +0000 UTC]
does it matter if you use photoshop element 6, because I couldn't find photoshop 7.0
π: 0 β©: 1
Lina01 In reply to NarutoxHinatafan [2008-01-24 08:15:12 +0000 UTC]
Unfortunatly photoshop elements is not very good compared to photoshop 7/cs/cs2/... A lot of options are missing >_<, I definetly recommend you to use the complete version of photoshop from 7 to CS3
