This is a tutorial to draw and color with photoshop as a lot of people have asked me ^^So I hope it will be helpful, and I hope you'll understand my english

You can have the same result with a mouse, the pen tool is very easy to use with the mouse, you just need to have a scanner in order to scan your sketch

OK, thanks! I have a scanner! So I can actually just draw the image in pencil then scan it and continue like in your tutorial?

I cant seem to find what FFFoD6, or any of the colors, since i cant find where it shows on photoshop, is it because i have photoshop cs3?
By the way, great tutorial anyways it helped more than any other ive seen...

sorry for the late reply, to find the color you just have to make a double click on the color square of your tools menu, then the color palette will pop-up and there you can enter numbers in the bottom field (like this [link] instead of 96c3da)

there's just one thing I can't understand.. it's the part with the line art..
When I trace the lines with the pen, the skin color fills up the space..
and in the path it says "skin vector mask"..
I don't know where the work path is and I can't click the circle below

select the layer you want to change opacity, and in the top right corner of the layer menu there is a box with the % of opacity. Sorry for the late reply

yur character did not get colored when doing the back ground :3

aaah! it's because it's on a different layers, the background layers are under the character layers ^_^!

nope, well i use cs2, i take another layer and color on, it kinda looks transparently, i take color pink on the diff layer and the character looks "invisible" or transparent sorta

it's based on a paper sketch, and everything else has been done with photoshop ^^

does it matter if you use photoshop element 6, because I couldn't find photoshop 7.0

Unfortunatly photoshop elements is not very good compared to photoshop 7/cs/cs2/... A lot of options are missing >_<, I definetly recommend you to use the complete version of photoshop from 7 to CS3
