Description
November 200912"x16" cotton canvas,
Atelier "Interactive" acrylic paint and iPhoto.
Notes: Mix of traditional and digital and mostly accidental. The piece no longer appears this way, but originally it was a wash of blues and yellows. iPhoto brought out the other colours when my mouse stuck on Temperature as I was editing it for digital representation...
...I liked it. A lot more than the original, ahah. 'm still messing around on this canvas. You may eventually see another version pop up, but it's unlikely.
The title is a nod towards the UK-based band with the same name. Highly recommended if you're into crashing guitars and sonic soundscapes.

May I ask how you paint like this? I am only new to painting and wondered how to get this technique with acrylic. I know there is layering ( obviously ) and that you wait for each layer to dry buy how do you get that effect? with a knife?

I used a flat brush and mixed the paint directly on the canvas... it was a rather fast process, quick downward strokes of thick pigment. I watered down the top a'bit, but not much.
This is a mix of traditional and digital work, though. The original was a mix of blue and yellow, and quite dull. The reds and purples came out when I manipulated it in iPhoto (Mac's default photo editing application). I hope this helps.

This is awesome. I love the blend of colours and the way you've portrayed something that would usually be smooth and curved ect but the way you've done it, almost pixelated its just a brilliant idea.
