watercolour pencil on illustration board.I don't know where all the yellow tones came from -sorry about that . Still this is a much better scan of the original work - I also feel the negative space is important so I got as much as I could with the scan (the original is a bit wider).
for some reason I love the color white - that's not a good thing because sometimes white basically means something is empty.

This is a beautiful drawing. I like the use of negative space. Too many people try to cram the background full of junk because they think all space has to be used. I've been guilty of that a lot.
the yellow looks a lot like the yellow tint from incandescent light bulbs. If it was scanned, who knows. You could probably correct the color balance in photoshop...but it's really not taking away from the image that much.

In response to your comment thingy: White isn't empty, white is every colour, it's black thats empty, because it has no colour at all.
I love this picture. The only thing I can pick against it is the webbing of the eyelashes, which looks rather thick in comparison to the lines on the rest of your picture.

excellent drawing and the use and abuse of the colour white and the negative space is very effective. i like how the nose is lost to the white.

This is really amazing. I love this. The white space just makes it. I really love the contrast.
I get the yellow alot with some of the stuff i have scanned at home. I think its because the page is not 100% flat on the scanner.
All in all, amazing piece!

yeah I'm going to scan it over the weekend again. I think the yellows came about because the matte board kept the pic a few mm away from the scanner.
And i'll make you a wallpaper...
