(times the human age by 1.4 and you get the age of an axien's equivalent.
so 10 x 1.4 = 14. The Axien would have lived 14 years, but be the equivalent to a 10 year old child)

  -Axolotl like people who live underwater
-Warrior based species, something between Vikings and native tribal people.
-Sophisticated enough to negotiate and make intelligent choices but pride normally stops them from being rational.
-Every Axien is different, but if one remains on land between 3 days to a month, they will have their salamander
form (a form used to survive on land with ease) become permanent. This can be distinguished by the frilly gills
completely disappearing. (It is considered taboo, and a disgrace to the species for this to happen. any Axien
to go through that would be disowned by his kind and banished from their home in the water)

Clan Ranking: Upper class | Eldest and only child of the Clan leader.

Tower: Time Tower | Moon Tower | Void Tower | Light Tower

Noticeable Features:
Hair: white with a silvery blue hint in it.

Clothes: mostly darker colours, such as blackish blues, browns with
hints of brighter colours on decorative/accessory like pieces

-Tattoo on right shoulder represents the tribe he belongs to.
-The same symbol on his loin cloth shows his high ranking as a son of the chief
No other Axien is allowed to wear the clan symbol on their clothes, only the leader and his/her successor.

Personality:
Omekai is a quirky and curious young Axien who loves to learn of anything above water- most unlike the stereotype of his kind
being sticklers for tradition and old ways, especially when it comes to anything 'land-dweller related'.
One of Omekais biggest and probably most notable personality traits is his sarcastic attitude. He earned the nickname
'King of the Sarcastic Hill' from a land friend whom he met with on his journey to hiems. He makes a fair effort
not to bring that nickname up in the mansion or around new people for a good reason.
Along with his sarcastic attitude he simply loves to tease and mess with others, however he will take it to the extent
of being a jerk unless you are someone he knows on a personal level, then he will only playfully tease.
Underneath this hard exterior and façade that radiates confidence in his own actions, Omekai honestly
just wants to belong somewhere. He is a softie who does his best to not show how someone's words effect him,
but deep down, he takes every last word to heart. He just struggles with his stubborn attitude that rubbed off on him
from his father and surroundings, and as such, he refuses to 'wear his heart on his sleeve' for fear of being rejected.

Is an only child

Mother was often very ill and died a few years after giving birth to Omekai

Lives underwater in a very wide and deep lake, right in the center. Like a small ocean.

Has a weird soft spot for animals and sea critters, he tends to talk to them.

Being slightly frail and not as strong as other Axien kids, Omekai was looked down on
and all his tribe were very disappointed and ashamed to have him as their only successor.

Despite being a failure to the tribe, everyone puts on a facade in front of Omekai and treats
him like the prince he is, which obvious and plain to see was all fake feelings, a game of pretend
that never ends for Omekai.

Omekai eventually gets sick of the fakery and forced smiles and begins to run from home slowly
but surely staying away longer and longer each and every time he could get away.

Around the time Omekai began to explore more, he would hoard any and all books and things in hidden
underwater caves from shipwrecks or shore lines, just about wherever he could get his hands on information
regarding the world beyond his home. What with Axiens being very prideful beings, none liked to associate and/or be
too friendly with land dwellers of any kind. Omekai however was very, very curious about the land and what it held.
Unfortunately It was taboo for an Axien to remain on land for far too long, let alone venture out without permission which
was rarely given.

One day at the age of 10 (14) he strays to the edges of the lake and resides in an underwater rock pool cave
that he had found once before for a couple days. This allowed Omekai to discover a hidden passage to the beach through
a small cave passage, he could at last feel the warm sand under his feet and after adjusting to the new method of breathing,
he could enjoy taking his first deep breaths of fresh air as an Axien completely out of water.

As time passed on Omekai's father became enraged and sent out troops to search all over the lake for him. After a week of searching
Omekai was caught and taken back to his father who decided upon his punishment. Keeping to the tribes
rules Omekai was no exception to the punishment rightfully due, and thus had his right leg cleanly sliced off.

Having been given one of the most severest and humiliating of punishments for any Axien, Omekai was
left to wallow in despair at his decapitated limb. Of course it would grow back, but not without any repercussions.
Taking months and months, Omekai could only pray and hope his leg would grow back without any
life long disabilities to live with.

After a year of living with the humilation and pain of his stumpy leg slowly regenerating, he finally had every
last bit of his limb back. Although luck was kind enough to give him a functioning leg that will walk and run again,
it was only kind enough to give him that. Omekai suffers from a slight limp and will forever have a weaker
leg. The scar still remains but is hidden under his shorts.

At the age of 20 (28) Omekai found a journal passed on by some colleagues on the surface, it was the recordings of a
certain purple haired mage whilst first joining hiems. With all that was recorded, the journeys, triumphs and fails all, Omekai
knew this is where he would be free to go, somewhere his father would not find him, somewhere he could possibly belong as himself,
and not as someone else.

The journey to find this hidden dimension, was long and tiring, Omekai was constantly on the run, never in one town for too long before moving on.
after a year and a half of being on this search he finally found his way into the hidden dimension and into the renowned Hiems Mansion exactly as the
Journal had described it to be.
Powers & Abilities
Omekai is limited to basic abilities, nothing magical or supernatural. Unlike his brethren he did not inherit the phyisical strength
that his kind is renowned for. So rather has been left to resort to his wits and speed instead. Due to previous injury, his speed was drastically
influenced to the point of being only just above normal.

Powers: Has the ability to switch between breathing in and out of water, the way a frog does almost, but cannot stay on land for extended periods of time, or else the slow transformation into a salamander will become permanent. (the way you can tell is the state of his gills, how far they've retracted is an indicator to how long hes been out. They dissapear completely when permanently a salamander)

Skills and Strengths: The best thing Omekai has to skills and strengths, is his ability to learn and strategize. Other than that he's a total pushover in strength.

Weaknesses: As said, a lack of time spent in water will cause him to transform permanently into a salamander, rendering him incapable of ever breathing under water again, as well as banishment from any and every clan. Sudden changes in breathing methods can confuse his body, getting in, out and in water again with little time between to adjust can take its toll on his ability to properly breathe. To be put simple, his body needs time to adjust.
Also, deep down he has a soft spot for others in predicaments of their own, he doesnt like showing a more caring side due to the warrior pride drilled in him by his clan. Also cooked seafood gets him real bad, he gets very sick if he comes near dead sea life. (excpet for things like coral or kelp or sea weed, that he can live with)
