Its my first time seeing Binjee portrayed in the "How has he LIVED this LOOONG!" category before. The effects of being in the same piece with Heroic Warrior of Awesomeness Pops?

RIGHT?! ISN'T IT CUTE THOUGH!? Its like a role reversal! He gets to be his happy-go-lucky self without having to concern himself with the wellbeing of a 20+ year old woman who can't handle anything! Link (who weirdly represents my fear) is like his body guard rather than the protectee!

It is nice to see him relax a bit. He does seem more "human" this way. Maybe this exploration will have a nice overall effect on his evolution to a fully realized and flawed character later down the line.

Well I mean, you mentioned earlier in this comic that Binjee was showing signs of being a classic leech.

Omnivoyance In reply to Lillooler [2017-09-19 06:34:23 +0000 UTC]
What's more human than such a leech?
But as this goes on he at least seems unaware of it and therefore is just inherently bad at survival situations (but damn lucky or divinely protected like all fools) in a way that is bringing out Links "save the princess" heroic instincts for the best. (or he is a REAAAALLY GOOD LEECH with sweet acting skills)
Anyway, I was going to put this under exploration of possible flaws for Binjee's character. These may not be the ones he eventually ends up with, or to this extreme, but its good to see him placed in a piece with actual human flaws. Glaring or otherwise. He's usually all smooth like El Cool J. (what I called my brother when we were young and he was all done up "for the ladies") In the looong run this might make him more likeable/relatable.

I am just gonna let Binjee's flaws appear on their own. Whatever the case he'll still miraculously end up perfectly what I want at that moment in time. It is his fate to be exactly what I want at that moment.

Then I wait patiently for the day you start wanting a wonderfully flawed male.

Perhaps your focus was too dispersed with all the new experiences and then there was the whole women's studies thing...
Take a class or two you can ace easy or that you don't really need so you can focus on what's important? ;D

Did you go to any of the social events the college sponsored? My place has all these events happening all the time and we are in the middle of nowhere'sville. Course you could probably find out about such things and go to them without having to take any classes as well. (or at other colleges for that matter... )

But three years? Three years and I met 0 dudes, man. I couldn't have been THAT distracted. In fact, aside from freaking women's studies, I wasn't distracted at all.
I hate tests and pressure to get stuff done and remember it all. No.
Nope. I don't go to things if I don't have to. Also, most were hella political or like social justice-y and I'm not about that life.

Ummm... fine, (I mean there are schools that are founded for just Christians but FIIIINE since you seem dead set against this angle) there has to be a way.
How's your book coming along? Maybe fandom might open up some social possibilities. Doing guest author panels would give you an excuse to go to more of those "Cons" where both young and old nerds gather. You would already have something in common with them so then its just a matter of sifting through them slowly for those who are Christian (and pretty) enough.
Your ability to draw sketches of your characters which you could then autograph and sell with a copy of the book is gonna go over REALLY well with that crowd.(SUPER personalized autograph basically since each of those things is fairly unique!) How quick can you draw a sketchy anyway??
Actually even if you have trouble getting said book published at a House, once you have it properly copyrighted you could still promote it at Cons for greater awareness. (you seem against electronic publishing even though that is becoming more and more the thing these days. I guess there are arguments going both ways www.writtenwordmedia.com/2016/β¦ and that's just for the most popular epublishing site )
Its a different type of book and a couple years out of date but I found this article about the trials of a newbie author in this new era of publishing fascinating and uplifting.

(I wonder if there are any young-ish Christian single book agents?? ;D [XD] )

A girl I grew up with (4 years younger than me) decided to go to a christian college and ended up leaving it after the first term because of how freaking political everyone was. She was incredibly discouraged. I mean, it was in Portland which is notoriously political, but THAT is a christian school. I mean the damn thing runs out of a massive church building. Just saying.
Books coming along great! Havenwic just finished reading it!! :'D She said she loved it and wants to talk about it with people but she and my uncle are the only people who have read it, so I had her come over and debrief the other day. IT was magical. Like SUPER magical. She had so many good insights and little changes I should make. It was so good!1!! So yeah, I've got a list of changes to do and adjustments to make.
I realized after reading the first line that that comment was leading into more dating discussion lol Oops.
I'll give those both a read right now!

I assume that Christian coeds would be a different kind of "political" than say those in a women studies class? I mean at least their politics should match up with conservative Christian views and so not be terribly jarring even if you don't exactly agree with them? Or are you saying they were bizarrely leftist? I mean, I was thinking of a college that primarily studies the Bible and related materials not just a college that was founded by Christians...
COOL! While I was looking through my files hoping against hope that I might find that code for that program for you I bumped into that old first copy of it that you sent me. After all this time I gotta say, even though you warned me against it, I'm sorely tempted to read it. :Q (curiosity abounds!)
Actually it was continuing a dating discussion that we were having, last month, but don't all our discussions, if they go on long enough, end in either Pokemon, your love life or occasionally if we are talking on one of those pictures of Binjee as a Pokemon - BOTH.
Enjoy.

Nah, it was the same kind of political. The fucking discouraging kind. And its not bizarre anymore for Christians to be incredibly liberal, in fact most christians that I met at camp WERE liberal. Incredibly so. Two of my best friends, I grew up going to church with them, BOTH hold incredibly liberal views and are still christians.
Cities tend to be pretty liberal as it is, but for whatever reason Portland Oregon is FUCKING liberal and that was where her school was. ANd that's also the case; the school is a CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, studying Theology and the Gospels and all that stuff. It literally is designed to train up pastors and other church leader types. That's what I'm saying, you can't assume that just because it is a christian school that you will meet people with like opinions. You'd think it'd be a safe place to meet people my age w/ similar opinions and beliefs but it isn't. Anyway, this was the school she went to:Β www.portlandbiblecollege.org
DON'T! DON'T DO IT! ITS SO BAD! Also I can send you the new one if you want? Also I'm about to start a draft 4 because of all the good feedback Havenwic and my other friend have given me.
You are definitely not wrong lol

So the reason whey their has been a large upswing in the Christian population and the amount of Christian youths is... lowered standards? Well, that seems to be the Pope's stance but many of us aren't even close to being Catholic! I personally love learning about every oddness that humanity can produce and trying to find the hows and whys of it and will happily chat with such folk to that end. And I certainly don't believe in trying to drag a certain segment of the population out into the metaphorical light and using the pulpit to badger the heck out of them like a racist cop but at the same time being Christian means you can't actively support certain things either. So yeah, that kind of blows my mind. Christians come in lots of flavors but the hard core folks actively studying the Word should have some common bridges between them. That said I still don't have any examples of exactly what type of views we're talking here but I'm assuming its pretty bad if it drives folk away.
Ya but if you send me one now its like I badgered you into doing it. That's not the kind of guy I am. Its not like you said I would be getting it at any point soon. *cough* FUDGE! *cough* *hack* you said after camp! *HORK* ehem, excuse me. Seem to have something in my throat there...

Yes. 100% yes. That is exactly it.
The only bridge that seems to remain between Christians is that Jesus died for our sins and is the son of God. Everything outside of that is up for debate, which actually legit grosses me out. It is so disheartening.
Th fuuuuuudge.

Well, he is the ultimate Bridge so I guess that's a good start... (aaaand we've devolved back to square one. )
Well, so in the end, its the same problem everyone has really. You just have to date a lot of louses to sort out the loosers ( a lot of weevils to sort out the evils?). But still, going to a place with lots of "Christians" at least means you can skip the first question in the interrogation and get to the ones that make sure they are the right sort for you.
Hmmm, what's this? Suddenly talking about fudge all the sudden? I wonder why? (O.O) Β
