To be honest, I never quite understand the appeal in becoming a vampire people seems to have these days.
What is a vampire, but a monster who gave up their humanity, for immortality and dark powers?
What is a vampire, but a creature born of cowardice, because their past human self is too weak to bear the burden of a finite Human life?
What is a vampire, but a lifeless, hollow mockery of existence who could not survive without stealing the warm life-blood of the living, like thieves, or carrion-eaters?
Who would give up their humanity for THAT?
Again, all in all, a nicely done piece of art.

Wouldn't happen to be Marius, would it? I've always pictured him as being blonde and wearing red a lot. Blue I associate with Lestat and red I associate with Marius.
Aside from not knowing who the character is, I think that if it IS Vampire Chronicles fanart (otherwise, what's it doing in the annericefanclub, lestats lovers, and lestatlouislovers...), it's definitely some of the best I've seen in a long, long, long time. Now that the fandom is quieting down, I don't see much fanart of it at all and what I do see isn't really all that good. So to see this is very refreshing. It's good to know that there are still people out there who love the series and that some of those fans are hella good artists.
