Ok, I'm pretty new to DevianTart so can someone explain how you can sell a design for a pre-existing character?

i'm assuming you want to resell a character of yours? if so, then you can submit it into the " Deviantart Related / Devious Fun / Adoptables " section when submitting the image. you could also tag it as 'adoptable' or any other tags that pop up besides it! just title it, write info in the desc like the price, info, etc,, and BOOM! you're done! now you just wait until someone buys it.
if you want to sell adoptables, it's the same thing!

I think TheWilderCat was complaining that LiLaiRa was "selling" the design of the original krampus, which is incorrect. She just made a design based on the krampus concept.

Understandable! c: Basically LiLaiRa just made an adopt based on the concept of Krampus... as no one actually knows what krampus "looks like," being that he's just a story.
So the LiLaiRa is not selling krampus -- she's selling a design based on him. Does that make sense?
