Chevalin-Wanderlust Secret Santa for pony-bones

Alright, I don't know what is with me and always getting the admins at the Secret Santas at CW, but I don't complain. Last year I got to draw Bloom, this year I got to draw Cain. Both characters which I always wnated to draw but did not find the time to do, so this was a great opportunity!
Got the assignment this morning, after the sky and partially also the ground of Cologne have been graced with a little snow, the first of this year that kept lying (a little on the grass and roofs anyway, also when it's melting now), I started to draw this and had a hard time to come up with a good pose. I hope that I didn't screw the anatomy too much and that the result is good enough. It was really a lot of fun to draw Cain with his dreadlocks (never drew some before ) and the sky. I so badly wanted to draw a sky like that again, have done this only once in the christmas comic special last year on the first page and it was a pity that I didn't pick the concept up again until now.
And I kept to the rules: no smiling, nothing nice and happy. So have a dark winter picture, is it fitting? I hope so. I tried the, how I call it, atmospheric shading here. A technique where the shading is simple but yet looks very atmospheric. Hopefully nobody is mad at me for not doing a detailed shading, but I just wanted to try this.

All in all it was a very very nice change from the previous mornings. Watching Eragon (for the first time, Kiddi recommended it) and drawing this after reading a bit in "Song of the Summer King" (new book I got for christmas, it's about gryphons! ). VERY relaxing, more of those mornings please!
