Inktober Day 4: Freeze

Far south, where the ice-wind blows and the lengths of the days and nights become unfixed, can be espied the frozen monuments of kings that no one alive remembers. Farther south still, they say, are the hoary mummies of the kings themselves, but I’ve never known any man to have ventured so far.

Fantastically atmospheric piece! 
The short description evokes images of some lovecraftian story about a polar expedition gone very wrong and I’m loving it!
