Edit: I added the Gossip stone as a fun twist and can arguably be considered alive much like the Ancient Robot. And there are a handful of different ones to choose from for you to personalize.Edit: Along with the new look I decided to add and replace some of the races that were previously there. You are more then welcome to replace any race with another you'd prefer to add but do not remove any cause that would defeat the purpose of the challenge.
Edit: I changed the look and corrected some spelling errors. I just felt it needed a change up, you guys like?
Also made it transparent in hopes that makes it a little easier for you to use and add or your backgrounds.

The Zelda Race Meme
~I know it is rather big but that is the point. It is suppose to be for any Zelda artist who wants to challenge themselves to a big project like this. It encourages you to study the different style between the games and outfits of different villagers. And in a way it helps you get a better insight on how the Zelda games have grown in their designs over the years!!!
I know they are not all up there but it is already HUGE
And I shall be impressed with anyone who is able to complete this.

I use a program called gimp, you can download it for free ( www.gimp.org/ ) and it's a pretty alright program to use. If you need help there are often tutorials on here that have helped me.

I'm sorry i'm being realy annoying, but i'm more confortable drawing in paper than in the computer. Should i scan the images and then post the races one by one or should i print your meme and then draw in the squares and then scan? I'm in trouble, please help me!

No you are not being annoying at all!! It's a valid question and I'm glad you asked. You can do whatever you are comfortable with. Individually gives you more room to draw what you wish but it's quite a lot to upload and printing out means a little less room but would be easier to keep organize.
If I was to draw it traditionally I would draw as many as I could on one page and pasted them on the meme when I was finished with them.
If you check out the folder I favorited you can see what some of the others who prefer traditional and what they did.

I'm not sure many do. A lot of die hard Zelda fans know but I think there are a lot of people who aren't really interested in reading the manga.

I may have to update mine soon as well...maybe even edit in some of the newer relevant races. Not much development there on the Zelda front though, so yours is still up-to-date in that regard.

There are a couple races I considered adding but I chose against it, just odd ones out i left last time and there was only really one newer one from the last game.
I'd be excited to see your revised meme and to be honest I'd love to see a second one from you. You have to admit it would be interesting how yours would differ from then and now.

I know what you mean. I already narrowed the Mario races down a lotttt, so anything going in there has to be somewhat important. Not sure whether to wait for another row of 4, or replace some...decisions, decisions.
All of the Zelda races in this one should definitely stay there though! Best to wait for like 3 new important ones to be introduced, then combine them in a row with the Anouki or something. I guess some iconic enemies could be given a box (like the ChuChu, or Octorok), but the monster box covers them pretty well too.
Ahh I remember working on it the first time! I enjoyed it a lot, and it still remains one of my favourite artworks ever. I'm really glad I found your meme back then. You're right, I'd love to see how much has changed since!

That's what I was thinking as well, best wait for some more significant races to appear.
I'm finally seriously started working on mine after starting I don't know how many times but I'm determined to finish this time and I'm excited, even though I'm only six down hahah.
And I thought about chu and octorok because they have various versions throughout the game but like I said I thought against it.
I guess if I really wanted I could have added the Masked people and Zora's from Link Between Worlds and then moblins to add to a row and have anouki complete it
I may do that cause those are all quite different things
it's moblins that give me pause, i guess i could search through the races i set aside.

I couldn't possibly decide really, everyone favours the races differently. I think the new Zoras look so different that they deserve their own box, but having 3 Zoras in one meme is a lot. I'd suggest replacing the TP one with the new ones in that case, but yeah entirely your choice. I still vote for the Chus haha, I love those buggers.
I'll have a closer look at my own meme in the near future I think...the Mario franchise produces new stuff surprisingly fast.

I just thought about it a little bit more. I think the Keaton should replace the Remlit, and it'd be perfect in my eyes. They're both very limited, but the Keaton has become very iconic in the series.

Ooh, I like the changes! I agree that Keaton and Cucco are nice and all, but there really isn't much to do with them without straying too far from their design. I kinda feel the same way about the Remlit, but it's probably good to have a bit of "furry" represented still hehe. 3 Zoras IS a bit much, but they're also important...so those leave room for people to replace one of they wish, which is okay. The Gorons and Skull Kids are also very similar, but if the Zoras get 3 it's only fair to keep those as well. xD They can always be merged in the future if new stuff needs to get a box.
I'm loving the additions you made btw! I didn't realize how much they were missing till now. Gossip Stone? Heck yeah lol. <3 I also noticed the way you arranged them all fits very well.

I was thinking it's a challenge and if you can draw the same species in three different game periods then you succeeded I guess. But that's why I gave people the option to change out those they wish cause two goron and Skullkids and three Zoras is quite a bit.
And I keep thinking about Keatons and Remilts and I kept switching the two. You have a point though that keatons have come to be iconic. I was thinking that Remlits have a sort of humanoid face about them that could be more easily personalized and you could choose between day and night for them. I think that's why I kept them.
I thought Gossip Stones would be clever and original and it makes me happy that you like the idea.

I actually hadn't thought of it that way, making the three Zoras each look unique being a part of this challenge. It'll put some creativity to the test, I like that way of thinking. In that case I say keep them!
You make some good points about the Remlit...definitely more options than for the Keaton. I guess "iconic" shouldn't be the biggest reason for including it, especially when it is kinda limited. And yes, Gossip Stones: brilliant.
