I've never thought of this pairing until I beat the fifth arch level in FFXIII...XD I liked Cid but the background of his fate was too short explained in the game DX He was an interesting character imo.
Lightnings emotional reaction when she saw Cid in the fifth arch was something I had never expected o_o I don't know if you played the game, so I don't want to spoiler you

Though yeah, I think blue eyes would've looked really good on him. But I guess Squeenix wanted to particularize him somehow. He was said in Episode Zero to have cold, unreadable eyes, or so Fang thought.

They really do! He's one of my favourite characters in the game and not only for his eyes or the rest of his gorgeousness, but also for the way he challenges his fate. I'm not saying more, cos that wold be a spoiler.

Nice job. I think FFXIII was pretty good,although,Crisis Core & the FF:7 series was a little better to me. I agree with BlimpLamb,it didn't really feel like a FF game

i know..i'm not saying it was horrible but it just didn't feel like a Final Fantasy game.they hold your hand for like the first 20 hours..the story was really good tho.
