Description Something I had floating around my hard drive. It didn't come out the way I saw it, but I like it well enough I suppose.

This piece is a nice little forest-scape, with a very linear feel to it. I really love the long lines that travel the length of the shot all the way to the back. The depth into the treeline you captured is nice because it makes the light fog pop out a little better which you otherwise wouldn't see. I feel like there is definite room for improvement here. By using a tripod you could have crisped up the piece a bit. Also, you can still run it through -and play with color/hue/and contrast levels to make the colors a bit more vibrant.

While I agree, a Tripod would have been much better to use, I was on a hike, and it was either take the tripod or take food, and I chose food.

With the 'play around in Photoshop' I found that the extra contrast put a damper on the fog, and I really liked having that light fog in the picture.

Thank you for the constructive critique!

I like how moist this photo is. I love the misty air and fungus on the trees. Really cool mood.

Yeah, this was taken up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The thing is, it was about 3x foggier, I don't know why the camera didn't capture all the fog properly, but it still came out nicely.
