Description
This is my gift for it-just-slipped-out as a part of the 2015 WinterIron Holiday Exchange over at Tumblr! I based it on two of the prompts I was given and had so much fun! Comic book style colouring is tricky but also gorgeous, so it was well worth it.
THEN — because I got a little overexcited — I also started writing a GIGANTIC fic that I figured could function as a bonus. Really though, it’s a monster. This particular scene is from chapter six and the fic is called Autonomy.

Bucky sat silently waiting for the resident mechanic. He sat anxious and fidgety wondering how Howard's son would react to seeing him need his help fixing the arm Hydra gave him. He looked down at the offending limb and scoffed with disdain. Glaring angrily at the necessary evil attached to him. Suddenly a noise brought the soldier from his reverie.
"Sorry about making you wait Cold War. Brucie and I got lost in some schematics for a new design on your arm. In fact we decided to make a new one so you won't have to deal with this old hunk of junk.", said a very enthusiastic Tony Stark. Bucky couldn't believe what he heard. A new arm? A new nickname that made him want to roll on the floor with laughter? Hell he couldn't remember the last person who was actually willing to be around him at ease enough to make a joke and name him... Even Steve his old war pal.
"N-no problem." said the soldier. Bucky chastised himself for stuttering. Usually he'd be a smooth talker around pretty people but something about Stark just makes his throat seize up. Holding out his arm he happily listened to Tony's fast paced talk on his new arm. He felt a slight blush on his face but willed it away getting lost in the never ending talk on science and mechanics.
