A blessing and a curse.Seriously though, when I was in school I always felt like snow days were lacking something pretty important, and then the next day or so I was trudging through mountains of snow.

Surprisingly, I've never had a snow day before. Then again, I live in Utah, where the weather is nuts and you get real used to it real quick XD

The only time I ever remember school being canceled was when the power got knocked out, and even then, they'd make us wait like 2 hours before sending us home, and that was a rare occasion. Then we had a super strong wind storm one year, like 2012, I think, that was strong enough to strip tiles off people's roofs and knock over every pine tree it even remotely rattled. They still made us go to school, and only let us go after the power went out.

Wow, that's nuts! Definitely should have been cancelled during that wind storm. Like, what if something hit a bus while it was driving kids home? I think that's the biggest reasoning for cancelling school here: the ice or cold conditions make the road really slippery and dangerous for the buses.

Apparently not for Utah. Our motto seems to be, "Unless there's a freaking tornado outside, you can learn to drive in this shit." XD
