When I first saw this I was like "please tell me this didn't actually happen" but seeing the comments now i guess it really did? That's insane lol. Who even has 100's now. Anyway Im sorry you have to go through this on a somewhat regular basis xD; Especially in the morning, God that hecking sucks. I love the face on the bill xD;;

I'm glad you like the face, I tried to make it exemplary of the negative feelings, haha. If I had enough small bills, that would be clever! Haha. Sometimes I have to give them change in $5's if we have no $20's anyway.

this happens to me ALL THE TIME (and we literally have an ATM outside of the store,, wut)
and it always happens like 4 times within the first hour i get there in the morning and then i gotta ask a manager for more change while ik they're thinking "already wtf ???" ;n;
also whenever i work in the 10 items or less lane people ALWAYS DO THISSSSS and i run out of money so fast,, it's like the express lane is the ATM of the store or something ???Β

I remember working at Mcdonalds, everytime we got a $50 or $100, we had to call a manager over and have them make change and punch a special code into the machine. Ground the entire line to a halt.

What, that's nuts! Do they not keep enough change in the registers? I've heard of places keeping only certain bills to encourage people to use debit cards.

No, it's more of a security issue, as not many people are carrying around $50s and $100s, and they need to make sure it's properly logged in the machine, and also make sure the "greedy little teenage wage-slaves" aren't trying to pocket them, I guess.

Had this happen to me on freaking Black Friday of all days. First transaction wiped my register clean that i had to shoo away the second one. Worst part: the customers were from the same family.
