Another sketch preview. Man, I kinda wish I could list what I'm listening to at the time of making submissions. I understand why it's not available, but it would make my ramblings (possibly) make more sense. Either way, The Doobie Brothers are awesome.
Edit: Preliminary colors. Yes, I have an ass-backwards way of doing art. I like to rough in the base colors before I finish the linework - it helps me make sure everything is where it needs to be.
And yes, he will have pupils in the finished version. For some reason, I always have the hardest time getting the pupils to look right. 
If anyone knows of some tips or tutorials that might help, I'd be mighty grateful.

Also, I love your style. You made inuYasha look like a -man-, which I've found most people can't seem to do.

Thanks! I was thinking that the pendant he's wearing would be some sort of version of the shikon jewel. I've been having fun tinkering with my own version of the InuYasha mythos in my head, and it's been gradually spilling over onto paper.
Most people who draw him do so in an anime style - while it's MUCH easier to do, I find it just doesn't suit me well, as much as I love the anime itself. That, and he's such a wonderful mix of boyish prettiness and manly-maness, I really couldn't resist giving him my usual hunk treatment.
As for the Tarzan thing, LOL. I think there might be an ("official" Disney) image of him that's similar to this piece - I didn't even remotely think about that till you mentioned it. XD
It's funny you should mention that, however, as I totally see child-InuYasha as being like the Disney version of young Tarzan - totally spaz-child all over the place and getting into all sorts of crazy mischief.
