Description This was one of the two covers I did for my 30pg one-shot Red Sonja story, "One More Day", written by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, which has just been collected in a trade paperback called "Red Sonja: Travels", from Dynamite. The other was a riff on the classic Frazetta Death Dealer on his horse picture, but I like this one better.

Heya my friend, just bought your One more day story, i loved the Sonjia look even bfore recognizing your cover. I have to say, you are the one and only one artist i know who totally understands what a chick with strong sword skills should look like. True, she has nice big arguments and curves, but she is also athletic and a bit masculine too... a true she devil with a sword bravo!

Thats one barabairan I didnt really collect except for a couple of marvel conan books she appeared in. I gotta go look for these by you.

ps. you really have a lot of patience to explain comics to that guy in the beginning of this post. I would of told him to F@#$ himself!

Indeed it is - but I had some issues with the interior color. It's pretty good, but some strange bits...

Yeah they were, thanks man. I inked this with a brush, very old-school, to keep it fluid. Worth the extra effort!

good gravy, all that cross hatching is brush too? *phew* I've had so many people try to teach me how to ink with a brush, but the best I've been able to do is use a Pentel color brush.

Well it was a 000 brush with indian ink, so very fine! I'll use a 0 for the thicker lines though.

Any time you get a stack of bodies and barbarians Frazetta comes to mind! LOL! But there's a fair bit of BWS' "Tupenny Conan" in this too...

Sadly, I don't get much chance to peruse BWS's Conan books here in India. I have a stack of Buscema's stuff, though. And a Frazetta portfolio called (justifiably) 'Icon'.
