awesome work with the lighting. that's a really tough angle to do it from, but you pulled it off very convincingly. the detail on the soldiers is extremely well done too and it works nicely against the relative simplicity of the background. outstanding work yet again.
as for the following into "oblibivion" bit... uh.. that's a little morbid.

I love how you can pull off flat shading in a realistic picture. Like that mountain... hill... thing. You're one of the few artists I've seen who can make a gradient look cool. ^_^;
The backlighting makes it look very hot, and desert-like. I feel sorry for those guys, in their sweaty clothes.

Sucks to be that guy eh? AT4 is such a massive weapon. Look at the LAW, it compact & effective. Well. At the time anyways. Modern armored vehicles probably have a more protective shell than before.
Oh well. I guess the US ARMY upgraded to a more potent antitank weapon for a reason.

Very impressive lighting work! The figures are nicely highlighted in a way that does not go over the top, and still allows them to retain a very portentous look. This bowl of lighting porridge is "just right"

oooh althought I hate war and pics of war I like this one cuz it is good lighting. Perhaps if there were a lens flare in the upper left, it would heighten the lighting effect I think you're going for here..?

I tried that, If I were to drop the lense flare in the brigt area, I end up with distortion occuring in the lower left of the image area.
Which looked pretty neat by the way!

Cool. Looks like they got the whole arsnel going. Feel sorry for the poor bastard having to carry a bazooka over the hills like that. Look really onimous with the sun at thier backs to the sun like that. Might not of had the same effect if the light was directly on them.
That is certianly soilder manatality for you tho. Makes me think of an RTS game where I send my units to thier doom just for a good laugh.

Yup, he's prpbably hating life right now. HIgh noon sun in an arrid desert landscape carrying about 150lbs worth of gear.
