On the eve of the release of the new "Captain America" movie, I have hand colored this sketch card I did some time back. It is as much a tiny painting as it is a color pencil drawing.

Love the colouring on this, theres something about it that doesn't actually make it look like pencils...can't put my finger on it!

I haven't seen the film yet. The movie version of C.A.'s costume differes from this.
Primacolor pencils have a high pigment to vehicle content. I used some blending techniques over the pigments. The dark areas on the costume a spotted in transparent Prussian blue paint.
