You know ... sights like that make me wish that those "true hunters" who think it's "cool" to display the results of slaughtering these majestic animals would take them up mano a mano (or rather mano a garra y dientes). If they were to survive that, I'd say they are indeed entitled to display the pelt.

The movie "Ghost and the Darkness" was the about the true story of a pair of lions that preyed upon workers on a British railway in Kenya in the 19th Century. Those lions collected human trophies in their lair.

Unfortunately the "Lions of Tsavo" can be seen stuffed on display at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.

The movie is based on the true story of an Irish engineer who was sent to work on an East African railway. His son Bryan Patterson grew up to become a world famous paleontologist.
The movie came out in the 1990's based on Patterson's book "The Lions of Tsavo".
Val Kilmer plays Patterson and Michael Douglas plays the big game hunter who tracked down the lions.
