Description This image is of Aeger tipularis, a Jurassic crustacean from the world-famous Solnhofen Limestone of Bavaria. It is the same lagoon deposit that has produced the Archaeopteryx specimens. This specimen is about 15 cm long including antennae.

I photographed it at the 2018 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.
