Levvvar — How to draw OTM gags on Poly and Eddie

Description Many people with who I was doing art trades and I requested of Poly OTM gagged didn't do that and instead of this they drew another kind of gag, probably beacuse they didn't know how to draw the requested type of gag on a beak. So this pic is some kind of reference how OTM gag on Poly's beak SHOULD look like. Also here is Eddie whose snout is tricky to draw OTM gag on it, so it is also a reference.

Admittingly OTM is my favorite type of gag, and hey, it works great for Poly even!

Jak takie kneble mogą działać same z siebie? Pod nimi jest jakaś taśma klejąca albo co?

być może taśma albo jakieś kawałki zwiniętych szmat wepchnięte do ich pyska/dzioba

Still, couldn't you have bound cloth, or rope around too, so they can't open their mouths?

Just a thought .

That, and "Over the Beak" gagged birds can be hot >_>

But that's the point of it - clear OTM gags with nothing else. And if they be able to speak or something? No, beacuse in my artwork OTM cloth gags secures big mouths perfectly, just like in old cartoons, where OTM gag was enough to silence the character, but in real life the person would easily speak through this gag.

I understand.

I just like the extra restraint .

Hmm this is actually REALLY helpful since I've been interested in drawing Eddie for a while but never knew how to draw a gag on him. Though how would one stuff his mouth considering how long it is?

I'm not sure what do you mean. If you asks about how it's possible to stuff his snout, I can tell you that in this case the whole snout should be stuffed with long piece of cloth.

You wanted to draw him? I didn't know that you're able to draw something, beacuse any of your drawings aren't in your gallery. If you draw something, why you don't show it to us?

Well yeah, I mean how would you stuff his snout due to it being so long.

Well that's just rude. Of course I can draw, It's just I prefer to not have my low art skills mocked like when I first posted a drawing.

From the expression on her face I don't think Poly expected to be gagged for this pic. As for Eddie he looks more like I do after a 2 hour comedy marathon.

2 hour comedy marathon? Why do you think that?

Inoysha In reply to Levvvar [2013-05-22 15:55:23 +0000 UTC]

Well I suppose it has to do with the way the gag appears to make him smile along with the way his eyes looks (like he's straining to keep himself from laughing). I sorta get a similar reaction when I see or hear something funny (especially on tv). It's like part of me wanna laugh out loud while another part tries to keep my composure (which ultimately results in a slightly awkward expression).

Or something like that.

Oh, I understand. But in this case his face isn't smiling

I even didn't notice that someone will think that he is smiling. I wanted to make him "cartoony sad"

Well even if that's the case I suppose what I saw was more a eye of the beholder thing then anything real fact based. But since we're talking my eyesight ¤which is barely 10-12% (one eye)¤ I guess its easy to see how I can make such an assumption.

Either that or I'm just plain nuts.
