if you look at his other work you will notice that he does speedpaintings and he does matte paintings. This is a matte painting done to completion - quality work. It's quite excellent and even though he may have used 'textures and photos and references' it does not diminish the quality of the work -- which is professional and top notch. Not just anyone can achieve this kind of quality but mashing a few buttons.
