These fellows represent members of the Umbrella Corp. security forces(Resident Evil games, movies, books). I think of them as the new Storm Troopers a la Star Wars that frequent the comic book and science fiction conventions. The Storm Troopers are still around in force, as are Klingons, but the Umbrella guys are starting to make their presence known.Related content

The Umbrella death squads have arrived. Their orders are to spare no one. Cries of mercy are drowned out by gunshots. There is no escape. The only thing one can do is hope for a relatively painless ending. The death squads always ensure that not a single soul survives to tell the tale.

"when we got there, we thought umbrella was there to save us. but they weren't. when we started talking to them, louis stepped up and got railed with machine gun fire. the it was francis, bill, and zoey. turns out that CEDA was umbrella in disguise, and they were using the survivor evacuees as test subjects for the t-virus. granted, the subjects were more than a match for the common infected that spawned from their lower ranked z-virus, but the others and i didn't know until it was too late. and so, i fled to georgia, where i met a new group of survivors. hopefully, i can spare these newcomers the fate that the others did." ~ words from my OC, kyle alexander shepard. z-virus and kyle belong to me.

The details for this photo are skimpy. I wasn't journaling much during this outing. It was my first attendance at Anime WeekednAtlanta in Georgia. It is a small, though fun anime convention that occurs during the Fall.
The troopers were going from point A to point B when people starting photographing them. They stopped for less than a minute to let people get a few shots. I took a couple and posted the better one.

I've no idea. I just saw these fellows at an Atlanta Anime Con. You might try doing a search for Wolfpack Resident Evil cosplay. There is a group that is pretty serious about their Umbrella Corps costuming. I've seen them at Dragon*Con, but I don't have contact info.

Seems like it took a while to make the costumes accurate to that of what the books and games show as Umbrella Corps infantry. Good work, hope to see more like this cosplay

...and don't forget pirates. At Dragon*Con it could happen. A couple of years back during the con parade, the klingons hurled teddybears at the Storm Troopers and yelled "Ewok attack."
