Thanks.  I'm not sure exactly, but I think they are a small crab apple.  This one huge tree attracts them every year as they migrate through heading south to find food.

Thanks. I've never seen crabapples that small but they would be tough enough to stay on the tree for the winter. Though a huge tree takes decades to grow I may plant one anyway!
